Position Overview

The Creative Director, Marketing sets vision and strategy across multiple projects, aligning creative output with business objectives and cultural trends. This role ensures Invisible Dynamics delivers work of the highest creative and cultural standards while inspiring and leading internal teams and external partners.


Key Responsibilities

Creative Leadership

  • Lead the visual direction for marketing campaigns and client initiatives

  • Define strategic vision for Nordstrom and other accounts

  • Act as a brand steward and cultural translator

  • Inspire teams with hands-on creative involvement

  • Integrate new technologies and approaches into creative workflows

  • Influence stakeholders and represent Invisible Dynamics with clients

  • Oversee multiple creative teams, ensuring excellence across channels

Business Development

  • Support pitches and proposals with creative vision and storytelling

  • Build and maintain client relationships

  • Partner with leadership to expand opportunities

  • Create case studies that showcase the agency’s impact

  • Track and analyze market trends to inform creative approach

Department Operations

  • Assess health of projects and accounts

  • Partner with project leads to ensure operational success

  • Manage communication and escalation across teams

  • Present solutions that balance creativity and business needs

Department Management

  • Lead, mentor, and grow creative teams

  • Establish clear direction and provide ongoing feedback

  • Create a culture of continuous learning and professional growth

Skills and Profile

  • Proven track record leading integrated marketing campaigns, with strong experience in fashion, retail, or lifestyle brands

  • Ability to align creative work with business goals and cultural trends

  • Hands-on expertise in one creative discipline, strong in at least two others

  • Adept at leading cross-functional teams and managing complex client relationships

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating campaign leadership, cultural relevance, and storytelling

  • Comfortable working at the intersection of creative and production; understands budget and talent realities

  • Experienced in retail and experiential activations as well as digital and social campaigns

Logistics & Benefits

  • Based in Los Angeles, Mid-City office

  • In-person Mon–Thu, WFH Fri

  • Salary $180K–$220K

  • Benefits include healthcare, dental, vision, life insurance, unlimited PTO, July “work from anywhere,” and holiday office closure (Dec 23–Jan 3/4)

  • Travel required (domestic and international)

  • Some evenings and weekends as needed
