Head of Global Creative at Funko

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Global Creative will help shape Funko’s next chapter, evolving a beloved global collectibles company into a more creatively ambitious and culturally relevant platform for fandom.

This is a rare opportunity to use Funko’s extraordinary access to entertainment, music, gaming, fashion, and popular culture to create more original, relevant, and coveted products, content and experiences. The ideal candidate is a product-minded creative leader who can turn cultural insight, design, and community into products people want and stories they want to join.

They may come from apparel, footwear, accessories, consumer products, gaming, entertainment, collectibles, or another design-led business where product, culture, and storytelling intersect. They will define a stronger creative point of view across Funko, Loungefly, Mondo, and future fan experiences, while building a global creative organization that operates with taste, speed, and conviction.

Strategic Mandate

Funko has a platform few companies can match: relationships with the world’s most recognized intellectual property, a passionate global fan base, broad retail reach, and a portfolio of brands with distinct creative possibilities. The opportunity is to use those assets more imaginatively, bringing stronger product taste, creative coherence, and contemporary relevance to the business.

The Head of Global Creative will help determine what Funko should create, why it deserves to exist, and what will make a product, collaboration, collection, or fan experience feel distinctive, desirable, timely, and true to its audience. The mandate is both to elevate what Funko makes today and help invent what comes next.

Build creative worlds, not simply products. Connect product, storytelling, packaging, retail, content, collaborations, and fan experience into ideas that feel culturally alive and worth participating in.

Bring a sharper point of view to product. Create greater clarity around taste, hierarchy, design standards, cultural context, and the creative logic behind what gets made and why.

Expand what Funko can become. Respect the company’s core collectors while creating new formats, audiences, original intellectual property, and more lifestyle-relevant expressions of fandom.

Connect intellectual property, product, and culture. Translate entertainment, characters, music, gaming, fashion, sport, nostalgia, and emerging culture into ideas that feel specific and ownable rather than expected or derivative.

Turn creative instinct into commercial opportunity. Recognize which early ideas have the potential to become meaningful products, franchises, collaborations, or cultural moments, and shape them into distinctive and scalable propositions.

Lead through talent and systems. Build an empowered global creative organization with clear standards, strong review rhythms, productive collaboration, and the confidence to make bold decisions.
